BUSEIKAN UPDATE from the DOJOCHO!

Classes are once again up and running. Attendance is down but those
that can attend are having a lot of fun and close attention.

Summer hours will continue until 7 September at which time we will
return to the normal classes and times. Friday 6:30 to 8:30 (Juniors
can leave at 7:30) and Sunday 9:30 to 11:30 I will be asking those that
are attending if they wish to train over the long weekend, Friday +
Sunday, or Friday only, or shut it down.

This years Club Expo is Saturday 10 AM until 2 PM. If you are in the
area and wish to help please feel free to come out and help.

Patrick Murray has signed up for the Gozo Shioda festival to be held end
November at the Honbu. Patrick may be acting as Uke for Jim Stewart
Sensei during his demonstration. No pressure Pat.

I’m really looking forward to another great year.

Classes resume this friday under SUMMER SCHEDULE.

Friday and Sunday are UNIFIED CLASSES untill the school year begins after Labour Day.

Yes indeed this intrepid reporter has now confirmed from the “shodans mouth” that Sernsei Nate and Stacey are now OFFICIALLY engaged. Details to follow!

BASE CLUB EXPO 2010

This years Club Expo will be at the usual spot. The Buell Fitness and Aquatic Centre, in the fieldhouse.

Date: Sept 11th
Time: 1000 – 1400 hrs

There will be a BBQ also on hand for those wishing a nosh.

So come out and support you favourite club!! (us of course)

RUMOR HAS IT…..

SOOOoooooo… While on his Furlough in Europe from the afghan theatre of operations, Sensei Nate (Nathan Masse-foster) decided to take Sensei Stacey (Stacey Cook) on a backpacking trip around western and southern Europe. Thought, heck after being in the dessert for a couple of months with a ruck on my back why not walk around Europe with a ruck on my back.

So, ever open to adventure our intrepid gal Stacey went on walk-about with him. Now I knew there was relative meticulous planning to this (hehehe) but he just couldn’t wait till the place intended and within 24 hours of their arrival in Amsterdam asked her to Marry him.

The details (and a confirmation to confirm it) will come soon enough but for now I will assume he made a big to do of it in the middle of the Diamond district!? (Just a hope… no not THE diamond). Maybe even in Swarovski’s

She said yes…. DUH! I then think in her exuberance may have inadvertitanly tossed him (irimi nage) into the canal.

If this rumor is confirmed a very VERY big congratulations from myself and all of us at the Dojo. And if it’s not true… remember it was JUST a RUMOR!
